Portable Appliance Testing or PAT Testing is the practice of routinely testing and inspecting appliances and providing certification that they are safe for use. PAT Testing should be carried out on a regular basis- the frequency depending on the type of appliance, the nature of its use and the risk involved should the appliance be declared faulty.
